David Clinkston, AIA

With 28 years of professional experience, and a significant background in urban design, David has designed custom single-family homes, multi-family buildings, numerous transportation projects, administrative and civic facilities, schools, and commercial buildings. Many of these projects are highly visible and David has performed as lead designer in many of them, from concept through technical execution, with extensive involvement in public outreach.

He often refers to "the balancing act", and has proven that functional needs and budgetary concerns can be combined successfully with pleasing aesthetics. He rejects the notion of applying a design style or pre-established formula. His approach is to embrace unique site and contextual opportunities and constraints, listen carefully to the client, and then respond with creativity and inspiration.
